First week of classes

We’re almost done with our first week of classes! The dynamic of the classes is very different here. We’re taking two classes right now, Italian and Consumer Behavior. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday we have three hours worth of class. Consumer Behavior on Mon and Wed and Italian on Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday we have six hours of class! Italian from 9-12 and then Consumer Behavior from 1-4. Our professor of our Consumer Behavior class is also our program director so we spend a lot of time with him. We hang out, play cards, and eat dinner with him so it’s a bit different than our relationship with our professors in Blacksburg haha. It’s actually really cool, he’s a fun guy. He makes the class really interesting too. He’s not a big lecturer, he likes to have discussions. We discuss relevant topics and then relate them to the topics in the book. He makes us think critically and abstractly. I’m not used to this kind of thinking in class so it’s really interesting. Also, we finish a semester’s worth of Consumer Behavior in like 3-4 weeks and Italian in 6-8 weeks.

This weekend we’re going to Milan and then probably another city in Italy. I’m so excited to travel somewhere else! I’ll post pictures when I get back!

Lastly, I just want to send a few shoutouts to my family because I am so thankful for them!
Mom and Dad- Thank you guys so much for supporting me through all of this and being so generous with everything! Thanks to you I’m rocking some new clothes, a stylish passport holder, and have money to not starve!

Chris- Thanks for all the advice before I got here and since I’ve been here. It’s been more helpful than you know! And thanks again for my watch, it has come in super handy here, especially since I don’t have a phone. And I have gotten so many compliments on it! Alsooo thanks for being so kind and letting me take your iPod here. That was so nice of you I really appreciate it and will be even more thankful on these upcoming train rides!
